Candice Archibald Miller, MBA

Candice has over 15 years of experience in Banking, Strategy, and the Legal industry. In 2021, she founded Miller Strategic Advisory Group, LLC, a consulting firm specializing in Fractional Chief Operating Officer (COO), Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), and Business Development Coaching services for Professional Service Firms.

From 2017 to 2021, Candice served as Director for a multi-state Creditor’s Rights and Real Estate firm with 40 attorneys, 130 employees, and seven offices across New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Vermont.

Her responsibilities spanned Operations, Administration, Accounting & Finance, Compliance, Human Resources, Marketing, and Business Development. She also served on the firm’s Management Committee and led the COVID-19 Response Taskforce, guiding the firm and its employees through the crisis.

Before transitioning to the legal sector, Candice was Vice President at a Super Regional Bank. She worked as a strategic advisor to Commercial Banking Executives and Regional Leadership across Upstate New York, Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, New England, and the West Coast. In this role, she directed special projects, built collaborative relationships, optimized operations to boost revenue, and provided strategic benchmarking and planning insights to the Executive Management Committee and Board of Directors. She also oversaw competitive intelligence, financial research, and market analysis.

In previous roles at the bank, she created and managed the Attorney Oversight and Legal Administration Departments. Candice developed audit programs, due diligence reviews, and scorecards for law firms across all 50 states and U.S. territories. She conducted on-site audits of firms ranging from AM Law-ranked full-service firms to sole practitioners. In her words, she witnessed “the good, the bad, and the ugly of law firm operations, management, and partner dynamics,” which ignited her passion for the legal industry.

Earlier in her career, Candice held accounting and finance roles at HSBC Bank, working in the MBS Strategic Initiatives Department and the Mortgage Division.  She also held positions in Tax.  She earned a B.S. in Accounting from the State University of New York at Brockport and an M.B.A. in Finance from Canisius College.

Candice is also a dedicated mentor and leader in her community. Since 2017, she has been a Youth Mentor (Big) with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie, Niagara & The Southern Tier. She currently serves as a Board Member (2024–present), Ambassadors Board Member (2019–present), and member of the Annual Gala Committee (2024–present). Her commitment earned her the “Big of the Year” award in 2024.

Her professional accolades include the American Legal and Financial Network’s (ALFN) Junior Professionals & Executives (JPEG): Picture the Future Award in 2019, recognizing rising leaders who impact their industries and communities through education, volunteerism, entrepreneurship, and leadership.  Additionally, she was selected for M&T Bank’s Diversity Development Management Program (DDMP) as part of its inaugural class in 2014, an exclusive initiative designed to fast-track top performers from diverse backgrounds.
